If you struggle to get up and down from the mat in a traditional Pilates class, or are rehabilitating after injury or illness, my chair-based class could be just what you're looking for. The Pilates exercises are modified to be performed while seated or using a chair for support. And you can still get all the same benefits - improved core strength, flexibility, joint health & mobility, posture, balance, coordination and body awareness. It’s very effective when used to rehabilitate after injury or illness.
Class is suitable for all levels, ages and abilites and all are welcome. I encourage everyone ro work at their own level and progress at their own pace.

I’m Dawn Clerkson, a Senior Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance Professionals UK, and a Level 3 Mat Pilates Instructor. I’ve been teaching yoga since 2010 and Pilates since 2018.
My classes are suitable for all levels. I provide modifications and progressions for the yoga poses and Pilates exercises so that students can work at their own level and progress at their own pace. My classes are varied, friendly and welcoming.
My Pilates classes use the traditional methods designed by Joseph Pilates and modern adaptations using foam rollers, small balls and bands.
