For many years, I worked in a variety of global senior roles working for multinational IT companies. Wanting a more life/work balance, I retrained to be a sports massage therapist at the renowned London School of Sports massage (LSSM). After completing my training, I worked for Dr Lady Ann Redgrave at her clinic where I treated clients from a variety of backgrounds including professional sports people such as rowers and rugby players, recreational athletes and people with everyday challenges.
Realising that sports massage was part of the solution to a client’s problems I then trained as a Pilates teacher with Alan Herdman. Alan brought Pilates to the UK in 1971 and is considered to be founders of Pilates in the UK. Following my year of training I then opened my home studio offering Pilates using the reformer, trapeze table, Wunda chair and other small equipment. I moved to Newent in February 2021 and opened the Newent Pilates studio in October 2021 where I offer 1:1 and 2:1 classes using the Pilates equipment.
I have over 15 years of experience and combine equipment and mat work Pilates with a variety of techniques such as sports massage, activation, myofascial release to rehabilitate clients from injury, surgery or other medical conditions. I also teach Pilates for sports performance, pelvic floor and clients who want to improve their posture, balance, flexibility and build core stability.
